The "Problem Solving Session" is a non-traditional approach to those needing to talk about their issues but are not able to commit to the time of traditional counseling.
Telehealth Sessions Available In Georgia and South Carolina Offering Services on GrowTherapy, Headway, Teladoc and Amwell. Recognizing that individuals seeking counseling often experience discomfort and a desire for quick relief, Jessica introduces a unique and efficient approach called the "Problem Solving Session."
Traditional counseling typically involves weekly 50-minute sessions, taking 2 to 3 sessions for the counselor to gather sufficient information to provide assistance. This means distress may persist during this initial period, even though clients begin to feel a sense of understanding and validation for their concerns.
The "Problem Solving Session" is designed as a one-time, intensive session lasting 2 to 3 hours. Its goal is to swiftly gather essential information, enabling Jessica to understand the problem comprehensively and offer immediate assistance. At the conclusion of the first meeting, clients receive direct and honest feedback, along with practical skills to initiate the resolution of the issue.
The session provides guidance and direction to address the matters causing distress. Following the initial session, clients may opt for a couple of "booster sessions" to refine the learned skills, gain further clarity, and assess any changes made. While Jessica firmly believes in the traditional counseling process, she acknowledges that the "Problem Solving Session" is particularly suited for individuals who are NOT experiencing long-term or chronic mood disorders.
To request this specialized session, individuals must call Jessica for a brief phone assessment. This ensures that both the client and the issues they want to address align well with the approach. By offering this innovative solution, Jessica aims to provide effective and timely relief for those seeking a focused and results-oriented counseling experience.
